Kerrin MacEvoy
'Macca'
Kerrin ‘Macca’ McEvoy has long been one of Australia’s premier jockeys, though that has gone to somewhat of a new level in the past few years with McEvoy’s reputation becoming that of a big race specialist and the results to back it up.
Kerrin took up riding in 1997 before becoming the second youngest jockey to win the Melbourne Cup when partnering Brew in 2000 at the age of 20. Kerrin has also tasted international success after being scouted in Australia to ride for Godolphin riding 120 winners in Europe – six at Group One level.
With over 70 Group 1 wins globally it’s no mystery why Kerrin ‘Macca’ McEvoy is in constant demand among trainers, connections and fans.
