Jason Holder
'Stubby'
Fan favourite, Jason Holder, nicknamed ‘Stubby’ began his career in 1991 quickly establishing himself in the South Australian jockey ranks.
Holder's first Group I winner was AMBALA in the 1994 Goodwood Handicap, and he followed this up with winning the 1996 Group I Adelaide Cup (3200m) aboard French Resort.
‘Stubby’ is one of the premier jockeys in South Australia, but has also had success riding in both Singapore and Hong Kong, internationally in Mauritius, ridden over 80 winners in Macau and spent time in Queensland where every drink needs a stubby cooler, winning the 2009 2YO Magic Millions on the Gold Coast aboard Phelan Ready.
